Description
In Tibetan Buddhist Shrines, Ting is used for offering with a sincere heart to strengthen our commitment to the Buddha’s teachings. Buddhists serve water with butter lamps first thing in the morning and light incense sticks, as part of ther daily ritual practice. We usually remove the bowls and turn them upside down at the end of each day before sunset. Seven bowls of water are often used to represent the seven substances. There are seven offering substances: water for drinking, water for bathing, flowers, incense, light, perfume, and food. It is a way to offer offerings to Buddha and Bodhisattva in four directions.
