Aparmita, also called Amitayus, is a form of Amitabh Buddha. He is known for granting long life. The Endless Life Sutra says that Aparmita Buddha’s light is the brightest of all Buddhas. Aparmita is one of the three deities associated with longevity, along with White Tara and Usnisavijaya.
Aparmita sits on a lotus placed on a moon-shaped disk, with his legs crossed in the Vajra position. His hands rest on his lap, holding a decorated vase filled with the elixir of life. Inside the vase are sacred water, saffron, and nectar pills that give immortality. At the top of the vase are leaves from the Ashoka tree, symbolizing a life free from suffering and illness. The statue holds the sacred elixir of life, representing the flow of life energy. Whether in your home, office, or meditation space, the Aparmita statue is more than just decor—it helps create a life of balance, protection, and longevity.
